Call for organised sessions

Submissions of Organized Sessions are open

It is now possible to submit a proposal of an Organized Session for the 14th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH) 29th September – 2nd October 2025 held in Hamburg. The overarching theme is “Better health for all in a changing world”.

Deadline: 15th December 2024 → Deadline Extended to 15th January 2025

Organized Sessions should have a specific scientific focus and need to be integrated in and relevant to the overall conference theme and to the scientific tracks in the programme for ECTMIH 2025.

The focus of the ECTMIH Congress in Hamburg 2025 will be on advancing scientific collaboration, knowledge sharing, and global action to address pressing health challenges. The congress will explore a wide range of topics across its seven carefully curated tracks, each aiming to tackle critical aspects of global health (GH), particularly for populations in low-resource settings. With an overarching commitment to equity, innovation, and sustainable solutions, ECTMIH 2025 will provide an inclusive platform for experts and stakeholders to collaborate and shape the future of healthcare.

The tracks will be:
 

Track 1. Interfaces: Immunology and Interaction

Track 2. Emerging Infections: Pandemics and Control

Track 3. Tropical Medicine: Diseases and Care

Track 4. One Health: Approaches and Solutions

Track 5. International Health: Travel and Migration

Track 6. Vulnerable Populations: Poverty and Neglect

Track 7. Non-Communicable Diseases: Challenges and Society
 

These cross-cutting themes will enrich the discussions within each track, ensuring a comprehensive approach to tackling the most pressing GH issues of our time.

  • Equality / Equity
  • Behavioural Research and Implementation
  • Digital Innovations
     

The following guidelines apply:

  • The proposal should be submitted in English
  • The organised session should be related to the overall conference theme and tracks
  • The organised session cannot exceed 90 minutes including all presentations and discussions
  • All speakers and organizers have to pay their registration fee, and all costs for the session are carried by the submitter of the session

The number of slots is limited and all proposals for Organised Sessions will be subject to the scientific peer review system. All submissions can expect an answer by latest end of January 2025.
